Sorry for the delay, slight technical hitch with my computer and scanner not on speaking terms!!

All seems to be sorted now so will try and get all the music on before next Tuesday!

Have put on all of the Christmas songs and Smooth is now available.  You will have to open both parts for Smooth to get all 4 pages.  For some reason the file was too big so I had to split it.

Anyway, hope you all had a refreshing break and are ready to get back to business on 30th August.  Yes that is next Tuesday!

I have missed our weekly singing sessions and look forward to seeing you all again.

Well What a weekend!  Well done to the Chorum Ladies! We rocked!

We may not have had a huge audience on Saturday at the Carnival, but those there really appreciated the music.  We have been asked to do the Christmas Lights Switch On in Broughton again and there is a possibility of a couple of other gigs next year!

It was also a good practise session for our main event of the weekend - the Chorum concert!

Our first ever official concert and what an evening!.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event and we had many great comments afterwards.  It was very hot in the hall but our singing kept eveyone awake for the evening, for all the good reasons!! 

Well done Becca for organising a great evening and thanks too to Bradley for the chat and venue, Joanna for the Raffle and decorations and of course Cassie and Dave, our Friends, for adding to the entertainment.

Thanks also to our audience, for braving the heat in the hall and being such an appreciative bunch! For most of the soloists it was their first performance to an audience and having your support helped them give their best performances and conquer the nerves.

Tickets were sold out and we will be sending over £700 to Cancer Research UK.  

Looking forward to seeing the video so that we (the Chorum Ladies) can at last hear what the Chorum sounds like!

Another Great Rehearsal.  Sunday is going to be sooooo good. 

We have now sold the 80 tickets we wanted.  The maximum number we can seat is 100 so when they are gone they are gone!!! It is unlikely that there will be any tickets on the door, so contact Becky urgently if you haven't got the tickets you want.

Rehearsal on Friday is for an 8pm start. If you can get there for about 10 to 8, we should finish around 9:30. 

Saturday is Broughton Carnival.  Can we meet at the village hall car park at 1:45pm, please.  Our slot is in the village hall at 2pm until 2:30pm.  You can park in the village hall, school or White Horse car parks.  If there is anyone on car park duty just let them know you are with Chorum and if you park in the school, please just make sure you don't block any of the exits from the field.  Black Trousers and Chorum Tshirts.

We may also do some impromptu busking at the Beer tent if anyone wants to :-)

Hi Ladies,

Thanks to all of you that were able to make the run through last Friday.  It helped Becky, Dawn and Nicky check that the flow of the numbers works and to get some levels for the Soloists.

Don't forget there is a final rehearsal this Friday from 7:30 and it is likely to be til at least 9pm, after which we can maybe go down the Pub?

Well done all the Solo acts.  You are all brilliant and it looks like it will be a great show.

If you haven't yet got your tickets, please get them as soon as possible.  Becky has checked and we have already sold over 50!  There is limited space and we wouldn't want to disappoint anyone.

If you have anything suitable for a raflle, please can you bring it along on Tuesday.

There is NO Chorum rehearsal on Tuesday 31st May 2011, but there is a rehearsal on Monday 30th May from 8:30pm to 9:30pm if you are free - charge £5 as only an hour.

Monday 13th June 2011 - Not Required

Friday 17th June 2011 - Run through Rehearsal for Concert 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Friday 24th June 2011 - Dress Rehearsal for Concert 7:30pm to Finish.

For anyone interested Water aid is in Leicester on June 5th this year.  Anyone can come along and they ask that you get some sponsorship to raise Money for the cause.

Some of us did it last year and it was great fun and good to be singing in a mass choir. 

There are some rehearsals at the Methodist Chrurch, Bitteswell Road, Lutterworth on May 17th and 24th 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

You don't have to attend rehearsals as there is a rehearsal before the performance and you can get CD's from the Website

Final rehearsal on the day is at 10.15am at Church of the Martyrs, Westcotes Drive, Leicester

Performance is hopefully in Bede Park at around 2pm as part of the Riverside Festival, weather permitting.  If it is too wet we will perform in the Church. 

There's lots to see at the Festival, so you can meet your Families there if you wish.
